Jon and Kate Gosselin Give Back
Well blow me away, in tonights episode, we actually witness Jon and Kate Gosselin giving back. Yes indeed, they were able to catch on film Kate giving the The Ronald McDonald House they stayed at after the tups were born a check. Of course we have no clue how much the check was for, but Kate did make reference to the McD House adding on. So did they give them enough to build a new wing? Well I doubt that, but I would imagine they could afford to do so, if they wanted to.

Well I could have been knocked over with a feather. I about fell out of my chair.
Again, damage control, but if they finally realize that damage control means giving back, well I guess I won't complain to much.
Ok, what was up with Kate's hair in the interview chair? I can't even describe it.
Perhaps after the donation, she couldn't see her hairdresser that told her she would never go bald unlike Jon.
Things are a changing here for sure. The twins won't allow cameras in their study room. Good for them. And yes it was nice that the camera caught Kate making the donation.
What bugged me the most tonight was when Kate made the kids hug the doctor. I never made my kids hug people they didn't know. Plus I don't think the doctor really gave a crap about seeing Jon and Kate again.
Kate told the doc he could come in and he told her to get out of the delivery room, that made me LOL.
Talk about damage control, Kate crying in the chair. I can hear the producer now, Kate you have to show them a sweeter more emotional side. Well it didn't work, all it did was look like they aren't happy having the tups, again.
I really wish we had seen the check, I bet it was like $30.00 or something.
Germ freak Kate let the kids touch everything in the hospital. Even if they didn't pick up any germs, they were spreading their germs in a place that was supposed to be sterile, like the delievery room. This just made me sick thinking about it. I wonder if she donated any money to have that room sterilized.
It was just like Kate, having to let everyone know that she was making a donation. Most people don't have to make a spectacle of themselves when they do it from their heart.
The comment on the door is what bothered me. Poor little Mady. I know sometimes she may be hard to like, but I really think it is because she is so very unhappy.
It's about time they gave something back, now I want to see them pay Aunt Jodi for all her babysitting and of course all their other helpers.
Seeing a softer side of Kate tonight was actually nice, it wasn't enough to make me like her, but it was nice to see.
I doubt if they could donate enough for a new wing, but if they donated their speaking engagement fees or love offerings, they could add a few bricks.

I think that would add more than just a few bricks. Think about it, if they used their speaking fees from just one engagement a year, think about how much good they could do. Now that would be something.
They could do a lot of good if they tried, but for the most part, I really don't see them giving back a whole heck of a lot.
When Kate cried tonight, I couldn't help but wonder if she was longing for the old days when things were normal. When they didn't live with cameras in their face, when they probably really tried to live a Christian life. I can't help but think, does she really realize what they have become and wishes that she wasn't what she is today. By that I mean she has become a greedy, mean, nasty person and how, really how could she not know that?
Don't forget, a portion of their website will give to charity, I'm betting 1% or less.
I do think that they really do all love each other. Kate has a funny way of showing it most of the time, but we do catch moments of genuine affection. I think Kate was sincerely emotional talking about when the babies were newborns in the NICU. It would be hard on all parents to go through that. However, not acknowledging all the people who helped in every way was wrong. They had untold help, and do still, actually. They are on their way to become millionaires, if they are not already there. It would indeed be nice to see them "give back." There are so many families who could so benefit their donating the cribs, infant clothing and blankets. It sickens me to realize how much they have and get all the time, when there are so many others so in need. It just isn't fair. But nobody ever said life is fair. I do love watching those wonderful little kids, but I do agree it may be time to get them out of the public eye.
If you do not like Kate and Jon or what they do then don't watch the show. Just because they are reaping the gifts of having a show on TLC then let them be. Remember "What goes around comes around." I know that many of their baby things have been given to charity as well as other items they no longer use. You only see what TLC shows.
