Good Deed, Gosselins Yard Sale Gives Back

The Gosselin family is giving back. Of course they will be the first to tell you or show you that they are. They have updated their website letting us know just how much they are giving, well from a yard sale that is. Since the yard sale day was a "work" day, as in filming day, I wonder why they didn't chose to give the income they made from filming that day to charity too. I wonder if they will update us on how much their website takes in and what portion they are giving to charity. Most people donate and don't expect any recognition, but not Jon and Kate, here is their latest good deed!

On Saturday, September 20th we had a yard sale to benefit The Pediatric Cancer Foundation. We raised $1106.61 of which 100% will be donated to PCF, our favorite charity. If you would like to learn more please click on the following link www.pcfweb.org.

This is a great charity and we don't mean to take anything away from the work the charity does, we only care to reflect on the way in which Jon and Kate must announce how they are giving back. Well Jon and Kate, it's about time!

Well good for them, it's about time. Of course they had to put in the amount and say it was 100%. WE, WE, WE...

Everything they do now to compensate for their terrible on-TV behavior for the past 3 years is simply "Too little, too late."

They had a sale (filmed, of course for an episode and so they were paid for it) and sold things that were GIVEN TO THEM! How very magnanimous of them to sell things they didn't pay for in the first place. Big friggin' deal. If they had not filmed it and they had matched the proceeds dollar for dollar then I'd be slightly impressed. This was just another episode, just more damage control. We all have your number, Kon, give it up and save what's left of your reputation if anything is left. This is plain embarassing.

Great! Now give someone 10% of your millions and I will be truly proud of you.

Would they even give to charity if they couldn't tell us about it? Yep, they sold things given to them and then they take a deduction for giving to charity, how sweet is that?

They gave back only after they had been called out on the blogs. They filmed it. They made at least 20 times the amount they donated to pediatric cancer because they used the garage sale as a 'work' day.
In my book, it's too little too late.
IMO-their redemption lies in them doing right by their children. Get them off television and try to give them what's left of their childhood back to them. When I see that I will be impressed

Jon and Kate have given so much, gee they give up their privacy so we can enjoy them. They give up their children's childhoods for all of us. They give up their friends and family to do a show, these people just can't stop giving.

The first think I thought of, was Jon shoving some of the money in his pocket and not letting Kate know he had some extra cash for donuts.

Good deed, in deed. Too bad it is too little too late. How about all the stuff that was donated to them before and they sold off their website. Why weren't they giving back before people started complaining? Well, because it is all damage control.

I commend Jon and Kate for giving back. I am sure the PCF appreciates the donation, in spite of the conditions under which it was received.

Fact is, Jon and Kate made more money that day filming the yard sale than PCF received as a donation.

Fact is, the kids were made to pose for pictures with strangers in the heat.

Fact is, it is still the same old same old going on. Good for PCF receiving the donation from Kon and receiving the publicity to hopefully spark more domations.

Kon was just throwing us a bone trying to look good. Why didn't you do stuff like this a year ago, six months ago, why now?

Hmmn.... I wonder....

That's what I thought.
